Dr. SuarezEarly Detection Can Save Your Life: Dr. Jose Suarez of Midnight Sun Oncology wants you to know that “The earlier you detect cancer, the greater your chances are for a cure. Don’t wait until you are symptomatic. For example, women, starting at age 20, should have a clinical breast exam every one to three years. After age 40, the standard recommendation is a screening mammogram and a clinical breast exam annually. Those with increased risk of breast cancer should consult their physician for screening advice and consider risk reduction strategies.”
